Dear Friend,
Life has challenges.
The Lord promises that we will have challenges.
John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Paul encourages us not to find the fiery trials we face strange.
1 Peter 4:12-19 “Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when His glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.”
We will inevitably face challenges, but when we do,
Where are we anchored?
Where do we place our trust?
When the storms of life are raging, who is holding unto us?
Are we trying to hold ourselves up? Are we the ones trying to keep our heads above water?
Who do we put our faith in?
Is it in a man?
Are we anchored in material things?
Are we anchored in our abilities?
Are we anchored in how we look?
Are we anchored in the people we are associated with?
Where do we place unwavering trust?
Where we are anchored determines how we will weather any storm.
Where we are anchored determines our stability and security when the seas of life become hostile.
You see, friend, the things that this earthly realm uses to measure stability bring some comfort for this life, but when placed in a position in which only the God of this universe can help, they are like sinking sand.
Our Heavenly Father has the final say in matters of health, life and death.
The things that money cannot buy! He is in control of them all. (He is in control of everything!)
Where are we anchored?
Are we anchored in the God that says, “I am?”
“I am Everything you will need from this life into eternity!”
2 Peter 1:3 “His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness.”
If so, Friend, we are anchored in the one who sustains life in this realm and gives eternal life in the ages to come.
Our God is unchanging; we can trust Him.
James 1:17 “He does not change like shifting shadows
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.”
I pray that when we face trials, we will have the peace of knowing where we are anchored so we can cry out like the apostle Paul! “Oh, that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection.”
The trials we face as Children of God are not faced without hope. Our Father is the rock that anchors us, and He will deliver us from the fowler’s snare.
What we face is for our spiritual development when we are anchored to Jesus our Rock.
We will not be tempted beyond what we are able to bear!
Friend, ensure your anchor is sinking in Christ, The Solid Rock.
Send your anchor deeper daily by reading and meditating on the Living Word.
The Word will be the only stable place we know in some seasons!
I know this because I am here.
My faith is my only stability.
Jesus is my stability.
What He did on the cross is my stability!
Friend, If we are anchored in our Lord, we can face anything.
Thinking out loud because life is better shared!
