The Lone Bird & The Berry Tree

November 23, 2023

The lone bird swiftly moved from limb to limb in our berry tree. It was so confident while eating to its heart’s content.

Even though I knew there would be fewer berries for us when we ventured out for our walk, I was so happy to see the little bird eating what it did not sow.

The little bird was a reminder of my Loving Father’s promises of provision.

Provision for all aspects of my life.

As I watched the bird, I was saturated with joy. I saw first-hand how this tiny insignificant bird was so cared for, and the following verses came to mind.

Matthew 6:25-33

“Therefore, I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?

Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labour or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendour was dressed like one of these.”

“If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?”

“So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’  For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Friend, whatever we need, our God is! He is The Great I Am!

Friend, When you feel alone, like no one cares, call El Roi – The God who sees.

When you are sick and need healing, call Jehovah Rapha– The God who heals.

When you are in need, call on Jehovah Jireh- The Lord who provides.

When you feel you have messed up, call Jehovah Mekoddishkem- The Lord Who Sanctifies.

Jehovah Tsidkenu- The Lord our Righteousness.

When there is chaos all around, and nothing makes sense, call Jehovah Shalom- The Lord our peace.

When you feel surrounded by the enemy, call Jehovah Sabbaoth  The Lord of Host/ The Lord of Armies.

God Will never leave us or forsake us, friend. He promises to supply all our needs according to his riches in Glory.

Philippians 4:19

But my God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in Glory by Christ Jesus.

Our Father is living. He hears us, and we can trust Him to always provide for us His best. When His answers don’t look like what our human minds consider best, you remember He is our All-knowing God.

When you are in a valley of life, you remember He is Yahweh- I Am, and He brings into existence whatever exists. Nothing is impossible for our Heavenly Father, who promises to provide.

Our role is to have faith that He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.

I hope these words of encouragement are helpful for you or someone you know.

You know I love hearing from you. Feel free to send me a message at any time.

Thinking out loud Because life is better shared!
