Dear Friend, Let us pray for the Lord to increase what we have planted and watered in faith, sending us blessings our human minds cannot comprehend.
1 Corinthians 3:6-8 “I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labour.”
When planting in faith, we must believe what Hebrews 11:6 states: “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and he rewards those who earnestly seek Him.“
Whenever I think of the process of planting seeds in faith, the story of Noah building the ark comes to mind. Noah built an ark to hold two of all the animals that lived on the land, yet he had never seen rain! Now that is faith! Noah was going solely on what God had said to him. The people around him believed he had lost his mind.
Planting seeds of faith will cause you to look silly to some of the people around you. Seeds of faith cannot be planted in human pride and ego.
Planting in faith is taking your tiny mustard seed and placing it into the soil of a vast field. A field in which your seed could easily get lost, and you are left with no choice but to trust that God, in His wisdom and faithfulness, will cause your seed, planted in faith, to germinate, pouring down blessings that your human mind could never comprehend.
Malachi 3:10 States:
“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.”
Today, I encourage you to trust the Lord with your tiny mustard seed. Do not be afraid. In faith, let your seed hit the ground! Until your seed is in the soil, it will always be a seed packed with potential but never realise it. Let God increase what you have planted in faith.
1 Corinthians 2:9 States:
“What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived the things God has prepared for those who love him.”
Friend, when you have placed your seed in the soil of faith, do not dig it out in unbelief because you do not see anything happening. Do not dig out your seed of faith in fear that you will lose all you have. Leave your seed of faith in the care of ‘The Gardener of your Life’ and at the appointed time, you will reap a bountiful harvest.
Seeds do not reach their full potential the day they are planted. Seeds take time to germinate and time to grow into mature plants. Water your seeds planted in faith and leave the increase to the Lord!
Matthew 17:20 “Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
A Prayer For US
Dear Father, help us to live trusting in the words that You have spoken over us. Please help us understand that You are faithful even when we fail to be. Lord, when we are faced with mountains that seem impassable, help us to remember that nothing is impossible with You. Lord, You have blessed us with all we need for this life into eternity, and this is what we believe. Lord, let the evidence of Your goodness in our lives be so pronounced that others will come to know You.
Father, Today, whatever seeds we have planted in faith, we choose to water in hope. In the hope that You are not “A man that You should lie” and that you are truly the rewarder of those who diligently seek you.
Father, we will not dig up what we have planted in faith, but we will worship You in advance as we wait for You to increase what we have planted.
Lord, we are grateful that You are making intercession for us. Whatever we fail to put into words and whatever we do not know we need, we know that You know. Lord, today we are so thankful for the Holy Spirit who walks us through waiting on your appointed time by faith in love.
Amen
I hope these words of encouragement are helpful for you or someone you know.
You know I love hearing from you. Feel free to send me a message at any time!
Thinking out Loud because Life is better shared!
